Groby Lane is a large detached house sitting just outside of the village Conservation Area. The owners wanted to upgrade the aesthetics and atmosphere in an existing front extension. Rather than remove the existing extension entirely, the project seeks to replace a leaking flat roof with a metal clad pitched roof with simple exposed trusses internally, the use of silvering timber cladding to the outside will create a simple palette for the ‘extension’. The project has been submitted for planning permission with a decision due imminently all being well.
